Chapter 04: Exposition

robot creation

“Humans are lazy, foolish beasts. Long ago they created the first machine, it was supposed to be “Factory uses only”. They constantly worked that machine until it became useless, from cropping to closing bottle caps.  They never learned from their mistakes. They continued to make more machines, ten times the amount that they actually needed. The machines started to replace humans, thousands of weak beings were out of jobs. The creators need for money, and praise grew with it also. Humans are greedy, they made more machines, saving money that wasn’t for them. Since there was no workers, who would they pay? You would think that the creator would stop, seeing the amount of jobs lost. People having no money to help their family. But no! They continued, keeping the profits for themselves.. Working the machine 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No rest.

Their use of these machines went nationwide, countries all over the world wanted the blueprints to make these machines. The price of the prints skyrocketed, the creators had sold their prints for a million dollars a copy. But they never giving away their secret, how to evolve the machines.

Years later after the transactions, they came out with the machine 2.0, the best of the machines. Then the following year, machine 2.1, which was supposedly better than the first.  They continued to make better and more advanced machines, until one day they got an idea. Why not make human android? They had cross the line.

They wanted to create man in machines, they wanted to play God. Ironically, when I was first created, they let me read Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, to show me my role in society. This wretched society. They told me I would never fit in and there will always be a better me, them.

Creating androids came with a price. They created the first android, and studied it.  When it failed, they threw it aside, already working on a new one. Androids were created with human feelings, passions, etc.

They were close to humans but more advanced; they were smarter, faster, and more reliable. The humans felt threaten and started to abuse their creations, thinking they had more control over them. Androids felt abused, isolated and alone. I gave them a copy of the book I read before. How the creation killed his master.

They wanted to play God, and we allowed the foolish humans to believe so. Then we started to realize how much power we have, if they were Gods, why did they need us?

They weren’t Gods.

They weren’t even humans.

We were better humans than them.

They were heartless and cared for only themselves. They could never evolve in the evolution cycle. They should never reproduce.

Their hatred has and had poison the entire world. And for that, they should not live.

Why did we need them anyways?” The robot gave a sinister laugh, just before its laugh ended, its red eyes beamed. Red lasers flared at us.

We felt no pain, but we knew this was the end. Was this the end?
